    About Drs. McBreen and Sheen

Dr. McBreen and Dr. Sheen, physicians at Foxhall Primary Care, are trained in travel medicine. They believe that taking the proper precautions, including booster vaccines and immunizations, prior to an international trip can dramatically increase the chances of a safer, healthier travel experience. The CDC gives general recommendations on needed immunizations for international travel. Drs. McBreen and Sheen have the essential knowledge of geographical, climate, cultural, and a host of other potentially risky conditions to properly prepare individual travelers.

During a consultation with the doctor, you will find out which vaccines you should get depending on your situation and travel destination. They will help you plan your vaccines in a timely manner so you are fully protected. If you have immunization records, make sure to bring them to your appointment. The doctor will review them to determine if you need boosters for prior vaccinations or whether additional immunizations are required. The staff will take great care not to prescribe unnecessary vaccines, which can be costly and pose potential health complications.

All of the doctors at this top rated Travel Clinic in Washington D.C. are board-certified physicians and have the expert knowledge to prescribe medications that are often essential for international travel, including for malaria prevention, treatment of travelers diarrhea and avoidance of altitude illness.

Dr. Vera Sheen earned her medical degree from University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Dr. Sheen specializes in and is board certified for Internal Medicine.

Dr. Brian McBreen graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Mcbreen specializes in and is board certified for Internal Medicine.
