Robert Tomsett, PA-C.knows firsthand how booster vaccines and immunizations prior to an international trip can dramatically increase the chances of a safer, healthier travel experience.

Robert is very committed to the practice of travel medicine and is dedicated in helping others prepare for trips abroad. He has traveled extensively and prepared others for travel throughout his 24 years of active duty military service in the U.S. Army. He has participated in multiple Medical and Christian mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, and Africa.

Robert graduated Cum Laude in 1995 with a B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Univ. of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also received a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Univ. Of Nebraska in 1997. Additional training includes EMT – Paramedic Course, Honor Graduate, 1985, US Army Special Forces Medical Sergeants Course, Honor Graduate, 1990 and U.S. Army Flight Surgeon Primary Course 1999.

One of six children, Rob was born in Stuttgart, Germany as an “Army brat”. After retiring from the Army, his father became a preacher and moved on to many small churches in rural areas. Rob became a “preacher’s kid” as the family traveled with his father. Later, he followed his father’s footsteps and joined the Army. He signed up as a combat medic with the 82d Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC and went on to serve as a Paramedic, Flight Medic and Special Forces Medic. He served our country for 24 years before retiring in June of 2006 and settling with his family in Franklin.
