About the Doctor
Dr. Louis Carrera is very committed to the practice of travel medicine. He believes that taking the proper precautions, including booster vaccines and immunizations prior to an international trip can dramatically increase the chances of a safer, healthier travel experience.
Dr. Carrera specializes in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, with an interest in chronic kidney disease and hypertension. Dr. Carrera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, in Brooklyn NY. His Nephrology training was completed at North Shore-Long Island Jewish’s Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY.

Payment in full at the time of the appointment is requested. We accept cash and credit cards. Upon request, we will provide copies of all documents necessary to file insurance claims.
