Martin Alpert, M.D. is the Chief Executive Officer of Travel Clinics of America. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University, and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Case Institute of Technology. After a fellowship in pulmonary medicine, he developed a computer system that provided pulmonary diagnostics, later expanding the venture into a personal computer company.
As a new entrepreneur, Dr. Alpert co-founded a company of firsts: first buyer of IBM PC's, initial customer of the MS-DOS operating system, and first producer of hardware peripherals for IBM personal computers. He later co-founded a company listed in Business Week magazine in 1991 as the fastest-growing high-tech company in the United States.
Dr. Alpert holds numerous patents, and has a proven track record of transforming concepts into successful companies.
